Quentin Robinson
Quentin has lived in Central and Westman communities for 30 years and in Brandon for 9 years. He has a deep appreciation for the beautiful open spaces and open, friendly hearts of the people in our region.
He has been committed to building the strength of communities in which he has lived in a 25 year career as a United Church minister combined with 17 years in private practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
A decade in his first career on the farm as a custom grain harvester and livestock producer gives Quentin an appreciation for the hard work and dedication of all who work in the agricultural sector and for the struggles they often face to survive and thrive.
His deep and long history of volunteerism includes a current focus on care of the environment and combating climate change; co-chairing the Knox Green Team, active in citizen engagement for the Brandon Climate Plan, serving on the Board of Manitoba Electric Vehicle Association, and he is a founding member of Sustainable Brandon.
Quentin is proud to be part of a faith community that stands in solidarity with LGBTQ2S+ folk and seeks to follow a path of reconciliation with Indigenous peoples in their traditional home on Treaty 1 and 2 lands.
He is grateful for the privilege of sharing life with his partner, three children and two grandchildren. He loves to join with his musical friends to sing and play at care homes and community concerts around the Westman area.
